CELT x MECA&D (2021)
The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust (CELT) permanently conserves and provides stewardship for lands cherished by the Southern Maine community for the education, use and enjoyment of this and future generations.
In partnership with CELT, specimens of the local flora were taken from their "Runaway Farms" property. These plants were then imprinted and immortalized in clay before the edges of each plate were hand crimped using a pinching technique. Each plate is labeled with the species and its native/invasive role in Maine.
The main focus of this partnership is to increase public knowledge about what Maine's invasive species are, as well as increase creative approaches to public outreach.
